In conducting monetary policy, the Reserve Bank needs an operational framework; an overview of the monetary policy framework in Vanuatu is given in the chart below. The framework broadly comprises the ultimate objectives of macroeconomic policy, intermediate variables or target variables, operational variables and monetary instruments.
